I put it on a Deering Tenbrooks Legacy (mahogany neck) with a Kruger ring. If you are a little frustrated with overtones and brightness, this may be the way to go. My second banjo is an 1895 SS Stewart Orchestra 28 inch scale, that I picked up on Ebay recently. However , found it suitable for other kinds of banjo playing as well. The initial thing I noted about the bridge was the quality of fit and finish: the work was clean and suberb. The bridge instantly gave the banjo more life adding a nice sparkle at both the highs and lows. These are really great bridges at less than 1/2 the cost of the others. I would highly recommend one! I swing between clawhammer and up- picking, and not usually on the same banjo. One more time! I did not expect a $30 item to make such a big difference in a finely-crafted, custom-made instrument. I will go even further to say I have never received a bad bridge from anyone.
